Bar Manager

As a Bar Manager on River Cruises, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Bar onboard the cruise ship. You are able to deliver a high level of guest satisfaction, and efficient management of the bar team. Your leadership and expertise will contribute to creating a memorable and enjoyable experience for our guests as they cruise along picturesque river routes
What will be your main tasks?
• Building and maintaining positive relationships with guests, addressing their needs and preferences.
• Supervising and managing the daily operations of the ship’s bars, including all beverage service areas and lounges.
• Ensuring that bars are properly set up, clean, stocked, and well-maintained.
• Training, scheduling and supervising bar staff.
• Maintaining a welcoming and guest-focused atmosphere in the bar.
• Addressing guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests promptly and professionally and striving to exceed guest expectations.
• Monitoring guest feedback and implementing improvements as needed.
• Ensuring the quality and consistency of beverages served.
• Overseeing the daily operations of the bars, including opening and closing procedures.
• Managing the inventory levels for beverages and bar supplies.
• Providing support to the Restaurant Team when needed and requested.
• Planning and coordinating special events in the bars according to the Catalog of Service, such as cocktail parties, themed nights, wine tasting and entertainment.
• Being presentable and leading by example, setting high standards for hospitality.
Who are we looking for?
• Experience in a relevant position in the hospitality industry, preferably on a cruise ship.
• Food health and Safety regulations (HACCP)
• Knowledge of beverages, mixology and wine service and pairing.
• Strong organizational, planning and managerial skills
• Good communication and interpersonal abilities
• Being able to communicate in English
• Able to work in a team and independently.
• Open mentality and being able to lead, support and motivate others.
• Having a good work ethic and excellent customer service.
• Willing to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, holidays)
